Are you ready for the nightmares in Five Nights at Freddy’s 4? One of the toughest challenges that you have to deal with is the movements and patterns of the animatronics. It’s really hard to beat all of them if you don’t prepare any tactics nor learn some useful FNaF tips and guidance. Hopefully, the tips below here can help you advance the game well.

How to Play

Basic guide and controls for night survival

The game puts you in the shoes a little kid and you are trapped inside of your own room. Hit key “X” if you want to hide the tips in the game. You are supposed to deal with four locations, including the doors at both sides, closet, bed right behind you. You need to click on the door if you want to sprint there, and then you can tap key Ctrl to utilize the flashlight, or if you want to close it, just simply hit and hold key Shift. If you want to go back to the bed, just flick the mouse downward. There is a closet right in front of you, click on it so that you go there, when you are at the closet, you can use the flashlight to check out the inside of it, then hold key Shift to shut it back. Go back to your place by flicking down. When you are the bed, flick down again to check out the bed behind you, you can use a flashlight if you want to.

Screenshots/Steamoverlay

While you are in the game, you probably have figured out that you don’t have any access to Steamoverlay (the menu appears when you tap Shift + Tabs). This has never occurred in other FNaF games. If you can’t access to Steamoverlay, you are not able to chat in the game, leading to no screenshots and no guide you can see in the game. This just wants to make all confusion of the screenshots clearer. With the PRTSC (print screen), you can totally paste in the paint program, giving you a screenshot.

Movements/Patterns of animatronics

Nightmare Bonnie

Nightmare Bonnie

Bonnie turns up very late on night 1, and he will pop up at the left of the door. If you want to make sure if he is there, you should wait for 3-4 seconds prior to shutting or utilizing the flashlight. If you hear a breathing sound, it signifies you he is at the door already, and try to keep the door closed until the footstep sounds disappear. If you move to the door, and you hear the running step sounds, just instantly shut the door since Bonnie can rush into your room and bring you the jumpscare. After 3-4 seconds and nothing that you can hear, you can freely use the flashlight. Don’t think that you get over him, he will assault once again, very quick, he is extremely irritating. No checking its door enough and no using flashlight will make you experience the jumpscare done by him in the room.

Nightmare Chica

Nightmare Chica

Chica’s actions are somewhat similar to Bonnie’s, excluding the kitchen noises made by her, and she appears at the door from the right. She turns up later on the first night. There is an infrequent happening that will occur to Chica. You will hear the breathing sound when she’s there sometimes; your vision will turn foggy. But do not count on that, the only that you can count on is the breathing noises. No checking her door enough and no using the flashlight will make her dispatch the cupcake into your room.

Nightmare Freddy

Nightmare Freddy

Nightmare Freddy will turn up in any time on night 1. And right behind you, on the bed is the Freddles. Occasionally, you will hear their sounds, and you will flash the light sometimes. If you want them to disappear, you simply turn around and flash the light. Don’t let them appear there too long. Otherwise, Freddy will destroy you. Pay attention to the strange screaming they perform as well!

Nightmare Foxy

Nightmare Foxy

Nightmare Foxy shows up on night 2, and he will lurk himself in the closet. If you see the closet is opened and closed, it means that he is already in it. When you move there using the flashlight and his head is poking out, you will experience the jumpscare sound, and don’t let it accomplish. You should keep the closet shut for a little while and check it once again. If you catch sight of the mouth and the body, just shut and wait more. If you catch sight of the hook and the arm or body, keep waiting and closing. If you cause him to move away, you will catch sight of a Foxy plushie. If you don’t see anything in the closet, freely take your leave. If you use the flashlight too long on the bed, Foxy will destroy you. This will occur every night!

Nightmare Fredbear

Nightmare Fredbear

Nightmare Fredbear will turn up only on night 5; you will get some issues with him at the beginning. He will launch his attacks to you from both doors, the bed, and even the closet, so you need to stay watchful all the time. If you see him at the lobby, don’t use the flashlight more than once, you will get killed for sure. In this case, you should shut the door quickly, and you hear some of the footstep sounds when he moves away. If you hear those sounds or the laughter, he appears on the bed or the closet. If he appears on the bed, you should carry on using the flashlight. If he appears in the closet, shut the door and wait for a bit until he leaves. If the laughter comes first and the footsteps later, it means that he is at one of the doors. But if you hear the obvious footsteps, it means that he is at the other door that you were just at.

Nightmare

Nightmare

Nightmare only turns up on night 7 and night 8. You should be prepared for this one when you reach these nights. His actions are just similar to Fredbear. He turns up at both doors, the bed, and even ventures in the closet. You need to equip good techniques to deal with him, like listen to his footstep sounds and the laughter carefully. Remember, Nightmare is even tougher than Fredbear. Wish you luck!
Further guidance and strategies will come out sooner! Keep calm and wait for it, guys!
